About GCIC

What are we working on? Our main project for the year is to get a plan approved for an inclusive housing option at the University of Florida. Inclusive housing, which would allow students in designated halls to select roommates of any gender, is crucial in making the campus climate at UF more accepting and comfortable for all.

Mission: The Gators Coalition for an Inclusive Campus (GCIC) is a student-run organization that works to educate, empower, and mobilize campus and community members through advocacy of initiatives that recognize the increasingly diverse and evolving needs of our students. 

Vision: The Gators Coalition for an Inclusive Campus aims to create a safe, welcoming community for all students, staff, and community members.  Our organization hopes to lay a foundation of social equality for the University of Florida and our surrounding communities.
